What do missions and cheese biscuits have in common? The first Sunday of every month. That is when Berea’s Baptist Men meet at 7:00 am and fix a manly breakfast. When the men of Berea come together, they share a meal, tell fishing or hunting stories and do missions. They have rung the bells for the salvation army, helped with the church’s annual Barbecue, and invited other community ministries to share with them in their meetings. They also lead a handyman ministry that has built more than 500 wheelchair ramps in the Elizabeth City area. They are also a part of the Baptist State Convention’s Disaster Relief Team.
